Wegovy Flextouch 2.4mg is a self-injectable treatment used to treat type 2 diabetes in those aged 12 and above. This 1.5ml pre-filled pen is the strongest dose available in this product and is used to promote weight loss, modulate sugar levels, and enhance the production of insulin in your body. This medication contains Semaglutide as its active ingredient, which acts like a GLP-1 receptor agonist and binds with GLP-1 receptors in your brain. These receptors help in controlling blood sugar levels when they are high by slowing down the gastric emptying and increasing the secretion of insulin from the pancreas. • Do not use this medication if you have a personal/ family history of medullary carcinoma, which is a rare thyroid condition, or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.

• Do not use the Wegovy Flextouch pen if you are allergic to the main ingredient, Semaglutide, or any other ingredient in it.

• Reduce the consumption of alcohol or stop its intake completely during the course of treatment.

• Abstain from using it during the phase of pregnancy and stop its use two months prior if you are planning to conception.

• Discuss all your current prescribed medications and medical conditions with your healthcare provider before combining this with any other drugs.

During the use of this medication, you are prone to some of the common gastrointestinal disorders like nausea, diarrhea, bloating of the stomach, pain in the abdomen, constipation, and decreased appetite. These effects are mild in nature and occur in the first few weeks as the body adjusts to the treatment.

• Each pen comes with 4 doses and can cover your four weeks of treatment.

• Remove the outer cap and inner cap of the pen and examine the needle for damage. Do not use it if it is broken.

• Check the liquid container on the pen and make sure that it is colourless and clear.

• Inject the medicine carefully in the front part of your thighs, upper arms, or the lower area of the abdomen.

• After injecting, press the dose button for 10 seconds and keep the pen still. Do not remove it until the yellow bar stops moving. After completion, remove the pen slowly away from the skin.

• Store the pen under controlled temperature as instructed on the label.
