Wegovy Felxtouch 0.25mg injection is a 1.5ml pre-filled pen used by individuals above the age of 12 and who are overweight/ obese and are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This medication helps improve blood sugar levels and keep you full by mimicking a natural body hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). It contains Semaglutide as its core ingredient, which is a GLP-1 agonist, which means that it acts on the GLP-1 receptors in your brain and gives you a feeling of fullness by delaying the digestion process in the stomach. It also boosts the secretion of insulin by the pancreas and inhibits the liver from releasing glucagon. By doing this, it reduces the body's food intake, increases insulin production, and reduces the release of glucagon. • Do not use this pre-filled pen if you are allergic to Semaglutide or any other ingredient of this medication.

• Wegovy Flextouch 0.25mg shouldn’t be used if you intend to conceive or are already pregnant. You should also avoid using this medication if you have to breastfeed your newly born child, as both of these situations might affect the child.

• Before starting your course of treatment, discuss it with your doctor about the other medicines you are taking, if any. Some combinations are not safe to consume and might put you at risk of low sugar levels and irregular blood pressure.  

• It is strictly advised that you not use it if you have been diagnosed with medullary thyroid carcinoma or have a family history of it.

• During your course of therapy, you might experience a few common side effects like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach pain. These are mild in nature and usually go away after the first few weeks of treatment.

• Inject the Wegovy Flextouch pre-filled pen under your skin once a week and use it on the same day of each week.

• Pull the cap and examine the pen, and do not use it if it has any signs of damage or seems used.  

• You may inject this pre-filled pen in the front of your thighs, upper arms, or in parts of your lower abdomen. Keep rotating the spot for injection and avoid injecting on bruised or tender skin.

• After injecting it, wait for 10 seconds till the yellow bar stops moving. Move the pen slowly away from the skin after use.

• Store unused pens within a temperature range of 2 to 8 degrees in a refrigerator, and avoid freezing them.
