I was prescribed Mefenamic Acid after very painful periods and was advised to take it whenever I have pain for as many days as I need. I took the first dose and within an hour the pain was gone and I felt relax. This is the best medication I have had for period pain.

I only take Mefenamic when I am on my menses. For the last 2 years, I have had severe cramps and pain during my period, and Mefenamic works excellent in relieving cramps. I take them for 5-7 days only during my period.
